This RADAR course is the RYA approved course that covers the knowledge and skills required to use modern day radar equipment on seagoing leisure craft. The course includes the use of radar simulators so students can get experience of adjusting the radar instrument controls in the classroom and practice reading the screen display. The radar simulator has exercises showing how ships would appear on the screen in many different scenarios like crossing vessels, overtaking vessels and imminent collisions.

Course fees (€150) includes the following items:

	1.	In person classroom instruction
	2.	Introduction to Radar Book
	3.	Workbook and Insturctor class notes
	4	Use of approved RADAR Simulator in class
	5.	Radar exercises on determining if risk of collision exists
	6.	Course Completion Certificate.
	7	Followup one to one instruction on owner's boat
